About Tina

I am a self-taught painter, honing my skills via life drawing, plein air and artists workshops.

My preference is for organic forms;  people, plants, landscape and nature. Light is very important, how it describes the form and how the subject differs in varying conditions is a constant source of inspiration but since lockdown I have also been exploring studio based acrylic abstracts with a view to enhancing and developing my observational work. 

Abstracting the landscape is thrilling and elusive, the constant push and pull to capture a particular mood or atmosphere is a totally absorbing way to spend ones time.  Curiosity, experimentation with style, subject and media; learning and growing with paint, pigment, oil, graphite, wax, ink, paper, canvas, wood, water.
